Groundbreaking Technology Med-Lab Engineers Can't Stop Talking About

When you hear “engineer,” you probably picture someone laboring away for long hours over a broken machine. And while that’s not a complete lie (our Med-Lab engineers do like their machines), there’s more to the story.

From account reps to engineers, everyone at Med-Lab works in harmony. We share what excites us, and our engineers always have some new technological breakthrough they can’t seem to stop talking about. We’re always blown away with the new ways technology can help us change patients’ lives, and we thought we’d share some of our favorites here, with you.

BYOS: Bring Your Own Solution

Out of the many mantras we repeat to ourselves at Med-Lab, BYOS, or Bring Your Own Solutions, is one of our favorites. It represents the trust that Med-Lab knows we can place on our engineers—since they, after all, are the experts.

Siemens Medical Imaging

Like we’ve mentioned before (See: “Our People, Our Way: How Med-Lab Makes Miami Better”), Med-Lab is partnered with Siemens Healthineers—which gives us an edge when it comes to innovative technology.

“We have the benefit, on the one hand, of being a company where you can go directly to the owner, and explain to them what you need. And at the same time, you are representing a behemoth in the medical industry by the name of Siemens. You have the benefit of buying the best equipment in the world and having a local representation that really takes care of the customer”

  • Jorge Lopez Bernal, Key Account Executive

Computed Tomography

Siemens is a leader in Computed Tomography, consistently developing groundbreaking technology like the recently introduced NAEOTOM Alpha, for example. It features a new photon-counting detector, instead of the standard energy-integrating variety. It doesn’t have the limitations of most CT detectors. You’ll receive CT data at high spatial resolution, without electronic noise, and with inherent spectral information.

Always Learning, Never Satisfied

A second mantra our engineers hold true to daily: Always Learning, Never Satisfied.

They delve into their continued education with passion and excitement, always ensuring that they’re aware of the next innovation right around the corner. And their considered solutions usually lead clients to ask for the same field engineer the next time.

“I love it when customers tell me, please send me Paul, it is satisfying to know that, you know, they request you by name.”

  • Paul Miyares, Field Service Engineer
